Public Lecture: Introduction to Buddhism in spanish (TTs) and Refuge and Initiation with Nedo Kuchung Rinpoche, October 9th at 6.30pm, at Dai Hall Auditorium at the Peruvian-Japanese Cultural Center located at Av. Voltage / Voltaje

220 volts, 60Hz (it does not affect 50Hz machines); in some places in Peru there are only contacts for flat plugs so you may need an adapter from round to flat contacts.

Please, bring your meditation cushion, we have not enough at the center to rent to everyone! There will be chairs anyways.

There will be both normal and vegetarian food.

Transport / Transporte

Transportation to the course will be on Friday at 2 p.m. from the Buddhist center and the return on Sunday at 4 p.m. to the Buddhist center, with a brief stop at the airport (around 5 p.m.), coordinated with the transportation team.

El transporte al curso será el viernes a las 2 p. m. desde el centro budista y el regreso el domingo a las 4 p. m. al centro budista, con una breve parada en el aeropuerto (alrededor de las 5 p.m.), coordinada con el equipo de transporte.

Taxis

Prices need to be agreed with the taxi driver before getting into taxis on the street; you can also call company taxis or apps (recommended, as it is safer). We have Uber and Cabify and other companies at the airport. It's very difficult and unsure to take public transportation from the airport to any place. Please, take a taxi. From the airport to the Buddhist Center it costs around US$25 per taxi.

Es necesario acordar el precio con el taxista antes de subir al taxi en la calle; también se puede llamar a taxis de empresa o utilizar aplicaciones (recomendable, ya que es más seguro). Tenemos Uber y Cabify, y otras compañias en el aeropuerto. Es muy difícil e inseguro tomar el transporte público desde el aeropuerto a cualquier lugar. Por favor, tome un taxi. Desde el aeropuerto hasta el Centro Budista cuesta alrededor de 25 dólares estadounidenses por taxi.

Money / Dinero

Soles (PEN, peruvian currency), US$ dollars (very easy exchange), Euros (not so easy exchange), debit or credit card, Visa (mostly used), Mastercard, American Express, Dinners, there are many cash machines, dispensing both Soles and US dollars. The 3 days staying during Lama Nedo Rinpoche´s course (Oct 10^th to12^th) and the public lecture (Oct 9^th), will be US$300, you can pay when you register on the web page or upon arrival. If you bring cash, bills must not be broken or very worn as they are not accepted by the banks or shops unless in perfect condition. The cafeteria and Dharma shop will only accept cash, in dollars or soles.
